OUR HISTORY
Meeting in sports college, traveling to the other side of the world and finally settling in this pretty little village (Saint Pierre de Vassols) at the foot of Mont Ventoux. Marine and Fabien opened Restaurant Le Vassol in April 2018 (Fabien as chef and Marine as pastry chef and service), and after seven years working as a couple decided to change course. Marine and Fabien, natives to the Vaucluse, are both passionate about gastronomy, the terroir, and the use of local, seasonal produce.

STRENGTH THROUGH UNITY
Born from the partnership between Marine & Fabien (former Restaurant Le Vassol) and Lara & Sylvain (CLOVIS & BASINA), BIGOTÉ is a new restaurant in Saint Pierre de Vassols that opened its doors in February 2025.
The team
The kitchen is run by young chef Arko Melin, who, with Fabien’s help and advice, creates a menu that changes with the seasons and uses local produce wherever possible. As a trained pastry chef, Marine looks after the desserts. Sandy, with her wealth of experience, leads the front of house team and works closely with Lara and Sylvain to create an original and varied wine and drink’s list, and a welcoming, relaxed experience.
Why Bigoté ?
Bigoté means moustache in Spanish, and was the nickname given to Fabien as a joke by his grandfather when he was younger. 30 years later he’s laughing about it !
